Demonstrations, written exams, skills tests, submission of written reports, feed charts, etc. for Level 1 and Level 2 may be done at that time.
Tree Problems
We have had a lot of tree problems come into the office this spring. You can find UNL tree care information on UNL Extension Horticulture’s tree and shrub page.
Grasshoppers
I want to spend a little time today talking about grasshopper control. USDA APHIS grasshopper survey personnel have found grasshopper populations in Cherry County varying from 0 to 38 hoppers per square yard. Depending on your individual forage situation, those levels may or may not warrant widespread control. UNL Department of Entomology has a web page with links to everything you might want to know about grasshopper control in Nebraska.
Need more info?
As always, you can contact the extension office at 402-376-1850 for more information on any of the things I’ve covered.
