Clover Kid Day
May 27 at 2 p.m. (CT) at the Valentine City Park Pavilion.

  • Open to all youth ages 5-7.
  • Collecting items from nature to create a texture collage.
  • Enter your collage in the Cherry County Fair.

Beef Quality and Value Seminar
June 4 at 6 p.m. at the Valentine Livestock Auction Market

  • Beef Quality Assurance, Dr. Dee Griffin – University of Nebraska-Lincoln
  • Increasing Your bottom Line, Pfizer Animal Health Technical Veterinarian

Tractor Safety Training
June 5, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and June 6, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Cherry County Extension Office

  • Participation is required both days. $35 registration fee, includes lunch the first day.
  • Tractor Safety training is required by federal law for youth ages 14 and 15 who will be operating tractors and related farm and ranch equipment for someone other than their parents or legal guardians.
  • There will be a tractor driving skills test on Saturday, June 8. Please practice your tractor driving skills before the workshop.
